Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show
Alexandra, Victoria · 2026-06-07
Turbo 360 covered the 2026 Alexandra Truck, Ute and Rod Show for Murrindindi Shire Council, delivering same-day social photos and a stock video library from one of regional Victoria's biggest free community events.

Every year on the King's Birthday long weekend, the country town of Alexandra transforms into one of regional Victoria's most beloved motoring spectacles. On 7 June 2026, Turbo 360 was on the ground at the Alexandra Truck, Ute and Rod Show to capture the full scope of the event for Murrindindi Shire Council's growing stock imagery collection.

About the event
Held annually on the bitumen of Grant Street and its adjoining roads, the Alexandra Truck, Ute and Rod Show is a free community event that draws crowds from across Victoria and beyond. Now in its 29th year, the show puts hundreds of trucks on display — from working log trucks and tippers through to lovingly restored vintage rigs — alongside utes of every variety and a dedicated hot rod precinct. Live music, trade displays, kids' amusements, and the crowd-favourite woodchop competition round out a full day that celebrates the region's working heritage and tight-knit community spirit. Attendance regularly reaches into the tens of thousands, making it one of the standout annual events in the Murrindindi Shire calendar.

What we covered
Turbo 360 provided full-day photography and videography across the entire event footprint. Our team moved through every zone — the truck displays stretching the length of Grant Street, the live entertainment stage, the woodchop arena, community stalls, and the crowds that filled every corner of the town. The brief from Murrindindi Shire Council was to build out their stock imagery library, so we focused on capturing a broad range of authentic moments: the vehicles, the people, the atmosphere, and the community organisations that make this event tick.

What we delivered
The Council had an immediate need for content alongside the longer-term stock library build, so we structured our delivery accordingly:
- Same-day photo delivery. Edited images were turned around on the day, ready for the Council's social media channels before the crowd had even headed home.
- High-quality stock video library. A curated collection of cinematic video clips covering the event's key moments, people and locations — ready for use in future Council marketing, tourism campaigns, and community communications.

Events like this one are exactly why same-day delivery matters. A show this size generates real social media momentum while it's happening, and having polished images ready to post the same afternoon keeps that energy going. The stock video library we built alongside it means the Council has a genuine content asset to draw on for months to come.
