Food and Hospitality Week

Food and Hospitality Week at ICC Sydney is one of the biggest dates on the Australian hospitality calendar, and on 3 June 2026, Turbo 360 was right in the thick of it. Commissioned by National Media, our team was on the ground to capture the energy, the craft and the business happening across this major industry gathering.

About the Event

Food and Hospitality Week is Australia's premier trade event for the foodservice and hospitality industry, produced by National Media. The week brings together chefs, owners, operators, suppliers and decision-makers under one roof across multiple shows, including the Restaurant & Foodservice Show, the Pizza Pasta & Italian Food Show, the Café & Coffee Show, and RESTECH. In 2026, the event drew close to 20,000 hospitality professionals across its run at ICC Sydney, making it one of the most significant gatherings the industry has to offer.

High-stakes culinary competitions drew crowds throughout the day.

Live competitions ran across the show floor, with titles including Australian Professional Chef of the Year, Australian Pizza Championships and Australia's Best Burger all decided across the event. There was no shortage of action to capture.

What We Covered

National Media brought in Turbo 360 to handle photography and video production across the day. With a crew of three photographers and two videographers on the floor, plus a dedicated editor working in parallel, we had every angle covered. Our team moved across the expo halls, competition stages and exhibition booths, documenting the energy of the show from the busiest trade stands to the quietest industry conversations.

Beverage sampling and product discovery kept the show floor buzzing all day.

The scope was broad by design. Food and Hospitality Week isn't a single event — it's a full ecosystem of product launches, demos, competitions and networking, all happening simultaneously. Covering it well means having the right people in the right places, and that's exactly what our crew delivered.

What We Delivered

For an event of this scale, the client needed content fast. We operated on a same-day progressive delivery model for images, meaning edited photos were being handed off to the client throughout the day as shooting continued. On the video side, our dedicated on-site editor turned around five post-production video edits per day — a pace that demands tight coordination between shooters and editorial.

The Industry Big Night Out was a proper send-off for the industry's biggest week.

One of the clear highlights of the day was the Industry Big Night Out, featuring a live performance from The Potbelleez. The Irish-Australian dance act, known for platinum-selling anthems and a reputation as one of the country's most electrifying live acts, brought serious energy to the room. It made for a compelling contrast to the trade show floor — all neon lighting, a pumping crowd and exactly the kind of moment that rewards having a skilled video crew in position.

Working with National Media

National Media runs a tight ship, and Food and Hospitality Week reflects that. The event is well-organised, content-rich and moves at pace — which suits our crew well. Having an embedded editor on site meant there was no lag between capture and delivery, and the client had usable content in hand while the day was still unfolding. It's the kind of workflow that takes genuine coordination to pull off, and our team executed it cleanly.
