Turbo 360 built the Victorian Parents Council a custom Australian-hosted website and companion app, with a community portal and native events and ticketing.

Victorian Parents Council - New Website + App

When the Victorian Parents Council (VPC) decided it was time to retire an ageing WordPress site, they came to Turbo 360 for something bigger than a redesign. This online project, delivered in September 2026, gave one of Victoria's longest-running parent organisations a purpose-built home for its community, its resources and its events.

VPC is a Melbourne-based not-for-profit with genuine history. Formed in 1959 to meet the growing demand for funding in non-government schools, the council was instrumental in securing government funding for independent and Catholic schools. More than six decades on, VPC has grown into one of the most active online communities for parents, carers and educators of school-aged children in Victoria, running a popular #VPCLive event series, a long-running podcast and a large library of parenting and education resources.

The brief

VPC's old platform was slowing them down. Content was hard to organise, memberships were manual, and events lived on a third-party ticketing tool that charged per ticket and kept attendee data at arm's length. VPC needed a fast, modern, Australian-hosted platform that their own team could run day to day, without calling a developer every time something changed.

What we covered

Turbo 360 handled the full build: the development of a new custom website and a companion mobile app, designed and configured from the ground up for VPC's community. Rather than adapting an off-the-shelf template, we built the platform around the way VPC actually works, organising the public site around the council's six pillars of parent and family support.

Every resource is tagged to one of six pillars and 38 sub-pillars, making a large library easy to browse.

What we delivered

VPC now has a new website plus a mobile app ready for phones and tablets across Android and iOS. The site is quick, easy to navigate and hosted in Australia, and the whole experience is joined up so members get the same content whether they visit on desktop or in the app.

The Community Portal makes membership genuinely useful. Parents can register free in a few taps, then step up to Friends or Members to open up the full library, videos and recorded #VPCLive sessions. Behind the scenes, the Admin Portal puts VPC in control of users, memberships, content, pricing and reporting, so the team can update the site on their own terms.

Replacing Eventbrite was a big part of the value. We built a native events and ticketing system with Stripe and PayPal checkout, automatic member coupons, branded PDF tickets, and automated reminder and follow-up emails. Best of all, VPC now owns its attendee data in full, with no per-ticket fees eating into event revenue.

Why it works

This is the kind of project we love: taking an organisation with real reach and giving it tools that match its ambition. VPC keeps its history and its voice, and gains a platform its team can run independently.
