The field turns for home and every head in the Ascot Bar swings with it — glasses raised, phones up, the one moment of a corporate race day you cannot re-stage. Shooting at Eagle Farm Racecourse means covering two events at once: yours, and the racing that gives it a pulse. Miss either and the gallery feels half-finished.
Turbo 360 photographs and films race-day hospitality, gala dinners, expos and weddings across Eagle Farm's venues, seven kilometres from the Brisbane CBD in Ascot.
Few Brisbane venues offer this spread. The Tote Room is the heritage anchor — a 1913 banquet hall with 18-foot ceilings, worn brick walls and polished timber floors that photograph like a New York loft and host Eagle Farm's most formal dinners and weddings. The Ascot Bar, on the second level of the Members' Reserve John Powers Stand, gives panoramic track views that make it the natural home for corporate race-day coverage. Legends Bar, on the ground floor of the oldest grandstand, takes conferences, networking functions and trade shows; Society Rooftop handles sunset parties; and the Buffering Bar in Stradbroke Plaza strings fairy lights over an outdoor deck for relaxed corporate functions. Then there's the Big Screen on the Green — Australia's largest outdoor screen — which turns lawn events into something no ballroom can copy.
On race days we work the rhythm of the card. Between races: hosted guests, fashion, sponsor activations, marquee candids. During races: the crowd reaction from inside your function, the horses if your brand moment involves the track, the finish-line surge from a balcony position. We coordinate with Brisbane Racing Club on where cameras can and can't go, and we plan the group photo for a gap in the card, trackside with the grandstands behind. Video crews cut race-day highlight reels that intercut hospitality with racing — the format sponsors renew on.
Outside the racing calendar, Eagle Farm's scale works differently. Expos and trade shows in Legends Bar and across the plaza get exhibition-floor coverage plus exhibitor mini-shoots. Gala dinners in the Tote Room call for a heritage-sensitive lighting approach — that brick eats flash, so we bounce and feather everything. Weddings use the gardens and pergolas for ceremonies, the empty track for portraits nobody else in Brisbane can offer, and on-site train access and free parking mean guests and crew actually arrive on time.
Yes — long lenses bring the field into frame from the Ascot Bar or trackside lawns, and we always shoot your guests reacting as the field passes. For finish-line or mounting-yard access we arrange positions with the club ahead of the day.
Trackside on the lawn with the grandstand or the track itself behind, scheduled between races on race days or anytime otherwise. For very large corporate groups we shoot from an elevated stand position so all faces carry — 200 people reads clearly from one level up.
Carefully. The 1913 brick and timber absorb light, so we use warm, bounced flash and fast lenses rather than blasting the room flat. Speeches and first dances get a subtle off-camera setup that keeps the heritage texture in every frame.
For Legends Bar plus outdoor plaza activations, two photographers cover floor, stands and speaker sessions without gaps; add a videographer if you want a highlight reel and exhibitor grabs. We'll scale the crew to your floor plan once we see the site map.
